Talented new artist, Sawyer Gold is all about chill and funky music and has proved it so with the release of his latest single “Myself Blue”, a groovy yet laid-back song with soft, hushed vocal delivery by the artist. To perfectly complement the overall chilled out vibe of the songs is Sawyer’s unapologetic, unfiltered and impeccable songwriting skills that keep you engaged till the last beat.

Inspired by the likes of both classic and contemporary artists and poets like Kurt Cobain, Jim Morrison, Flea, Mac Demarco, Jimi Hendrix, and Frank Zappa, Sawyer wishes to create music that carries influences from the past with a mix of modern music. Sawyer’s deep interest in classic R&B and rock music led him to comprehensively study music history, particularly rock history dating back to the twenties with the blues, all the way to the movements of the ’60s and modern music. Studying the most notable and even idiosyncratic moments in music/rock history has influenced him a lot, and shaped the way he creates, writes and produces music.

“My music conveys an overall message and feeling of safety, comfort, relaxation, and satisfaction”, states the artist talking about his music style. Sawyer plans to be an independent artist as of now until the right opportunity comes along.  He further adds, “I will sign for the betterment of my music. My music is a great combination of funk, indie, and psychedelic rock. I would love people to check is out and give it a chance. It has potential and love, with an intoxicating groove.”
