india winNew Delhi, Tuesday, October 14 – After the third One-Day International was called off by reason of extreme climate in the region due to cyclone Hudhud, both India and West Indies are now looking forward to the next ODI, which is scheduled to take place at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium, Dharamsala, on Friday, October 17.

Today’s match, which was supposed to be played at ACA-VDCA Stadium, Visakhapatnam, had massive relevance. A victory could have made any of the two teams stay a bit ahead of their rivals, especially at the time when both India and West Indies are locating at the same spot by winning one match apiece. Now, next 50-50 over game automatically turns an interesting contest, which is likely to be watched by several cricket fans.

Despite the fact that Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s boys faced humiliating defeat of 124 runs at the hands of Caribbean cricketers, the way team efforts made them bounce back in the previous competition was absolutely heart winning. Though the ‘men in blue’ put an attainable score of 263 runs at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi in front of WI, the young Indian players made them to succumb as early as possible. At a stage when the guest appeared to be standing on a strong side thanks to 97-run knock of Dwayne Smith, the host’s self-belief of changing the game created the entire difference. Good piece of bowling by Mohammed Shami and Ravindra Jadeja, along with amazing fielding in the last ten overs, imparted huge role in compelling middle and lower order batsmen to throw their wickets without hitting biggies.

To win a match that was no where in the grip always bring broad smiles on the faces of players and scenario was same during the last ODI when enthusiastic Indian players defended the target and logged 48-run win on the opponents. In the 5-match ODI series, it is extremely crucial for both the squads to leave no stone unturned to emerge as a victor at the end. The ongoing series is heading in an attention-grabbing phase provided that outcome of rest of the two matches will make picture clear about the apparent winner.

If both the participating ‘playing elevens’ see the triumph in one match each then series will end in a draw. 2 consecutive successes for a particular team will be able to inflict 3-1 defeat on the opposition. This would be interesting to notice whether it is Dwayne Bravo or Dhoni led squads get the physiological advantage. Preparations are in full swing in Dharamsala to hold the upcoming matches successfully. Since audience is in no mood to miss any glimpse of the exciting fight between bat and ball, the probability of finding Indian supporters in the stadium is higher.
