Dallas, TX, USA – October 20, 2020 – There were 700 car donations applications submitted online. Ram and other members of EveryoneEatz board agonized over the decision of who was the most worthy of their first car giveaway. They landed on Viridiana, who earns a living cleaning houses and uses the services such as Uber and public transport to move between jobs, which takes a substantial amount of her salary.

“I was crying, yeah. I was very happy,” Viridiana said. “I have a lot of faith, and I say, ‘Okay, God, if it’s for me, it’s for me.’ But [I told him before] if someone needs it more than me, it’s okay.”

“EveryoneEatz was founded in response to these unprecedented times where members of the community are experiencing hunger, health issues, and even homelessness,” says Mehta. “Covid-19 has been the largest crisis of our generation, and many members of our community can not afford adequate personal protection equipment, needed testing, and even food. Hundreds of thousands of people have been impacted, the economy is falling, and the very essence of our well-being as a community and a society is fading.”

Dr. Asad Ahsan, owner of Vital Dental at McKinney, is a member of the board of directors of EveryoneEatz is adamant that the company has donated its first car to the ideal candidate.

“We are giving it to a very nice lady, a very deserving lady,” Dr. Ahsan said. “She’s very hard-working, works 10-12 hours a day without a car or transportation, depends on Uber. We just thought she would be a very fitting candidate for this. We talked to her and she told us her story. It was very touching. She really, really appreciates it. That means a lot.”

Outside of In-Fretta, owner Ram Mehta posted a sign in March saying that the restaurant will serve a fresh, delicious meal no matter their financial situation. The business lost 80% of its pre-pandemic business but is adamant that the core aim is and remains to be to aid those in need.

Since the pandemic struck in March, In-Fretta Pizza has also provided over 400,000 free meals, thousands of free COVID-19 tests, and 50,000 PPE kits through his self-funded charity, EveryoneEatz.

“My mom was always involved in charity. She always told me to make sure I was giving back,” Ram shared. “That was deeply ingrained in me already, but when she passed away, I promised her that I’d carry on her legacy of giving back.”

In-Fretta’s food is best described as an authentic New York taste in Texas. Everything is made from scratch using the best and finest ingredients to provide the authentic homestyle flavor their customers love and crave. In-Fretta has two locations, one in Plano and another in Irving.
