John J. Breiling’s diverse background uniquely prepared him for this ambitious undertaking. His academic foundation includes Catholic seminary studies in philosophy, theology, and Scripture. He also served as a Navy officer with intelligence responsibilities and spent decades working as an engineer and scientist on projects around the world with the Corps of Engineers. During retirement, he devoted himself to extensive biblical research and theological study, including twelve years of advanced tutoring under pastor and scholar Fr. Bert Griffin.
